Doug, thanks for so much your help! I am soo excited about Nov trip... Staying at Poly standard room and was wondering if room upgrades ever happen? 10th Anniversary with 3 kids! Does online check in hurt my chances?

    Tricia,

Yes, room upgrades happen all the time!

Never, EVER rely on them happening. All you do is set yourself up for disappointment. And as the most popular vacation destination on the planet, often you will find that Walt Disney World is full enough that there are simply no upgrade rooms available. But it can happen!

Online check-in does not hurt your chances. In fact, I would expect it will help, as you are letting them know more about you, and giving them reasons to give you any available upgrades by including your preferences. I always recommend someone use the Online Check-In, as it speeds up your arrival day, and does not in any way hurt you.

One little (unofficial) suggestion. Call the resort. Call at 10-days prior to arrival and tell them that you are coming for your 10th Anniversary, or whatever other special event is your cause for celebration. That might help too.

The phone number for the Polynesian is 407-824-2000.

    Have a magical vacation!
