Doug, Thank you for the advice on meals & the wkly plan. Yes on the park hoppers, plz advise. 1 more Q.! Was planning on no car, should we consider a car just in case bus sys is ugly? also considering a 1 day beach run .. thoughts?

    Denise,

I like to avoid renting a car. First, Orlando area rental rates are sky high. Second, you are there in a slower time (September) so the bus system should not be bad. If you have a single instance where you are late for a reservation you could cab it, but I doubt you will even have that happen.

As for the beach, it is not a bad idea, but I prefer to stay at Walt Disney World. I just see no reason to take that long drive there and back, when you have so many other fun distractions here. But if you choose to do so I would recommend the gulf side, not the Atlantic. Why? The U.S. Government modeling of where the oil spill will go actually shows more up the Atlantic side of the state of Florida than on the Central gulf side.

Oh, and when it comes to changing your park days because of having park hoppers, what I would do is use the last recommendation as your park days, and then go for afternoons/evenings wherever your dining reservations or moods take you. A little spontaneity in your schedule can be good for you!

    Have a magical vacation!
