Doug, I saw you mentioned that you didn't think that the signature restaurants were worth the 2 credits. What have your experiences been like? Would your opinion be different if it was free dining? Pay for QS OOP and do signature dining or 2 separate TS?

    Kathleen,

    Let me clarify.

I love a lot of the restaurants that 'cost' two table service credits on the Dining Plan. California Grill, for example, is my family's single favorite restaurant in the world (as in, 'the whole world', not just Walt Disney World!).

What I am referring to is the estimated value of one table service credit.

    EXAMPLE

When you 'spend' one credit for an adult dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe, you get about a $37 value.

But if you go to Cinderella's Royal Table for an adult dinner you are paying over $50. That works out to about $25 per credit. So you get less "bang" for your buck.

So the advice here is not to avoid those restaurants that cost two dining credits. But figure out which meals are best 'paid' for by credits, and which you should pay for out of your own pocket!

    Does that help?

I won't be answering panel questions in 2011 (after 2 years, I need a rest!), but if you need further advice you have a TON of great new panelists ready to serve!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
