    Hi Doug! What resort would you recommend for a party of 4 with two children ages 11 and 5 who would like a fun waterslide with not too much walking? Thanks!

    Chelsey,

    Without question the best pool of any resort at Walt Disney World is Stormalong Bay at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. It has a great slide that actually starts in a shipwreck on the resort beach!

    Several other resorts, both Deluxe and Moderate, have good water slides with their pools as well. Some of my favorites include;

    Deluxe Resorts
    • Polynesian (comes out of a volcano)
    • BoardWalk Inn (looks like a Atlantic City rollercoaster)
    • Wilderness Lodge (down a rocky stream)
    • Swan/Dolphin (a bit more of a walk, but very good slide with some speed to it)
    Moderate Resorts
    • Port Orleans French Quarter (out of a Mardi Gras Parade float)
    • Caribbean Beach (part of a cool fort complex)
    • Coronado Springs (by a pyramid)
    A final one to note is the new Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. This new Disney Vacation Club resort has a pool complex so large that it had to register as a water park. I have not been, as it just opened, but the pool is reportedly great, and might now even be better than Stormalong Bay!

    Have a magical vacation!
