    Doug, I have been reading your responses to people visiting disney world in september. How do you decide what is a good day to go to certain parks? We arrive on the 20th and fly home on the 27th with 5 days in the park being probably the 21-25.

    Jessica,

    What park to go to on what day for me is based on a lot of variables. Here are some of the factors that I consider;

    • Magic Kingdom is King! Always try to start and end a vacation there, as it is the iconic park of Walt Disney World. This is ESPECIALLY true for a first time visitor.
    • Extra Magic Hours are your best/worst friend. During a busy time of the year, you should avoid them, as they cause the park crowds to elevate significantly. But during slower times (like when you are visiting!), they are a great way to get more park time, and should be embraced.
    • Tots, Teens or Adults? If you are going to go after Extra Magic Hours, think of which ones are good for you. When I visit with my 2 and 4 year old, I never even consider evening ones, since we can't take advantage of them. But if it just me and my wife, we love them. When we are there with tweens and teens, we push the envelope and do both.
    Without knowing your group makeup, I would do this;

    • September 21 - Magic Kingdom
    • September 22 - Animal Kingdom
    • September 23 - Magic Kingdom
    • September 24 - Epcot
    • September 25 - Hollywood Studios

    Have a magical vacation!
