    Doug! Quick Question we still have to book a room for the last night of our vacation. We will have been at disney all week and might not do the parks that day/night. Do you think since its only 1night we should stay at a value or mod resort? and which? Thx

    Nankumar,

    That is not a bad idea. If it were me, I would book a night at the Port Orleans Riverside moderate resort, for the following reasons;

    • You are just a boat ride away from Downtown Disney. This provides a great afternoon and nighttime destination for dining, shopping, and light nightlife.
    • You can enjoy your resort pool, which would be the same at any other resort.
    • You can explore the resort grounds. This one has the most to explore of all the Moderates or Value resorts.
    • There are more activities at this resort than other moderates, from carriage rides and fishing, to a marina.
    I like the cost savings, since the benefits of a Deluxe is proximity of a park, which you won't be visiting. This way you have at least $100 in savings you can spend on some great Mickey Mouse merchandise at the stores of Downtown Disney!

    Have a magical vacation!
