Hi Doug! Question. Planning an Oct. '10 trip with Mom, Bro & his 2 kids. If it turns out that anyone cannot go, can we change our existing reservation to reflect that? Or will we have to create a new reservation all together? Thanks!

    Wendy,

Making changes to your reservation should not be a problem. With the addition or removal of a person (or two), I don't see why it would be required to make a complete cancellation of an old reservation and the start of a new one. Of course there might be very specific circumstances where they might, but I would expect that with minor changes you will be fine.

It never hurts to discuss it with whatever channel you choose to use for making your reservation (direct with Disney, via a Disney authorized travel agent, etc.), but no, you should not have a problem.

One important note to remember. If you make a change to your room/ticket reservation, you still will want to make a call to the dining reservation line as well. The room/ticket package team will not, as a rule, make any changes to your dining reservations. And of course it is only polite to let the restaurants know of the change, so that they can plan accordingly.

    Have a magical vacation!
