    Hi Doug, planning 3rd trip (me, hub, DD2&5) Jan 11. Have done basic dining prev. but thinking about deluxe this time to do CRT and some other great dining. Kids love character dining and have done most of them. Sit down morn and night, any suggestions?

    Stacie,

    With younger kids I wouldn't have table service meals for all three meals of the day. I think that the time spent will drive them crazy, and don't expect that they will eat enough to make it worth your while. It is just a lot of food for kids that age.

    As for the Deluxe Dining plan, price it out, as I don't expect that it will be your best way to go financially. You should plan what meals you want, then calculate out what meal plan (or no plan at all, paying cash for everything) is the most cost effective. I would expect you will find either paying in cash, or the standard plan with the remainder of your dining paid for in cash, will be better than the Deluxe plan.

    Also remember that typically it is not a good idea to go to any 2-credit table service restaurants. That is never a good use of credits.

    As for breakfast/dinner suggestions after character meals, here are a few of my favorites;

    • Whispering Canyon Cafe
    • 'Ohana
    • Tusker House
    • Yak and Yeti
    • California Grill
    • Le Cellier
    • Jiko
    • Boma
    • 50s Prime Time Cafe
    • Marrakesh
    Let me know if you need more suggestions!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
