    Hi Doug! Need ur help again this yr. We (DH/DD's 16 &12) staying at AKL, pool vw 11/6-11/13 1st time @ a delx.wld like to be close to lobby what area shld i request? Also, 25th Anniv 11/9, din res 615@ Narcoos-1st time w/ carr ride @ PO @ 9. Engh time?

    Rosa,

    Definitely do the Online Check-In via the Disney website, where you can choose to be near the lobby/transportation.

    Also call the resort 10 days out (407.938.3000) and request to be near the lobby. Request the Giraffe Trail. In September I had a pool view on the Zebra Trail, and it was perfect. But with the Giraffe Trail there are fewer rooms so it is typically quieter, and you are less likely to be put further away from the lobby.

    Your 25th Anniversary plans sound magical! But there might be a bit of a problem with the transportation from the Grand Floridian to Port Orleans. I would normally say you should take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom after dinner, and then bus over. But the Magic Kingdom closes at 6:30 that night, meaning buses might not be running. So here is what I would do;

    Option 1. Bus from the Grand Floridian to Downtown Disney, then boat or bus to Port Orleans. Leave at least a full hour for this travel.

    Option 2. Take a cab straight from Grand Floridian to Port Orleans. It is your anniversary, and I think you have earned it!

    I would go with #2, frankly.

    Have a magical vacation!
