    Doug, Need some Hoosier common sense. What are your feelings on Fantasmic in general and the dinner pkg in particular? I'm traveling Sept, weighing shorter line wait verus better seats&asking kids to be good in longer line vs good while eating. Thanks

    Julie,

    Always glad to impart some Hoosier sensibility!

    Fantasmic is not a bad show. I prefer the fireworks at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom, but Fantasmic has it's appeal. As to the dinner package, it used to be such a great lock on getting a shorter wait time, but the benefit is diminished now that they don't get their own separate line.

    So weigh my words with a grain of salt. I don't go out of my way for this show. I certainly don't eat somewhere I don't really want to go, just to get a semi-guaranteed seat. And I don't camp out extra early to get a better seat either. My order of preference is this;

    1. If the Hollywood Brown Derby meets your budget, go there, and consider the Fantasmic 'pass' as a nice perk to an expensive (but great) meal.
    2. After that, 50s Prime Time Cafe is my favorite, but it is not a package option. I would not go elsewhere just to get a 'pass', and would just get in the regular Fantasmic line afterwards.
    3. I would not make my family wait in line for over 45 minutes for this show.
    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
