Hi Doug! need some help here: We have a GG resort reservation for Jan 2011(will add DDDP later). If a special offer is revealed, can we change? If we need to cancel and book a new one, can we keep our dining reservations under the new reservation number?

Two separate considerations. First, can you replace a current reservation with one based a newer, better promotional offer? It varies, of course. With some promotions it can be an easy change. Just contact whomever you used to book your original package (Disney, your travel agent, etc.) and ask if the newer offer can be applied. Sometimes it may require a cancellation of the original package in lieu of the new one, other times it will not.

As to your dining reservations, changing your resort/ticket plans will not cancel your Advanced Dining Reservations. However you will want to call the Dining Line (407-WDW-DINE) and ask them to change over the connection of your already made meal reservations over to your new resort reservation number. That will just keep things nice and orderly for you. I have done this before, and it took all of five minutes, so don't worry about it being a big headache.

    Have a magical vacation!
