    Hi Doug, love the panel! Staying at POFQ Sept 8-16. We want to eat a few meals at other resorts, but I hear buses don't go from resort to resort...is it possible to take boat from FQ to DD then take bus from DD to another resort - what would you do? Thanks

    Rhonda,

    That is exactly what you should do to visit another resort for a meal. Officially they would say from ANY resort to get to another that you take a bus to Downtown Disney, then a bus from there. But the boat ride can be a nice, scenic alternative to yet another bus ride.

    There are, however, a few exceptions to the travel where you can speed things up, or at least get a more enjoyable trip. In all these alternatives, I am assuming that you are are traveling during standard theme park hours, not super early in the morning or super late in the evening. These few exceptions would be as follows;

    • If you are headed to the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, or Polynesian, take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and monorail to the resort
    • Going to the Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness, take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then boat to the resort
    • If you are going to the Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk, Beach Club, or Yacht Club, bus to Hollywood Studios, then boat to the resort.

    I hope that this helps! Keep the questions coming!

    Have a magical vacation!
