Hi Doug:) I'm having trouble finding some travel time info. On 12/11/10 we'll need to get from Epcot back entrace to HS for 5:30pm dinner @ 50'sPTC... I hear we should take the boat... how much time to allow for? Thanks in advance, you're the best!!

    Jenifer,

Technically the bus can be quicker, but with the erratic bus depot wait times, I far prefer the boats. Give yourself about 45 minutes from boat dock to boat dock, and then another 10 minutes or so from the dock, into the park, and to the restaurant.

    So an hour in total.

What would the bus take? Well, your wait will average 20+ minutes, then about 15 minutes ride time from there. Add in that 10 minute walk time, and you are talking about 45 minutes, at the shortest. So you are talking about a comparable, but probably slightly shorter transportation time, by about maybe 10-15 minutes.

To me, the scenic experience, on-boat ride comfort, and relaxation factor of the boat far exceed in value the saved time, and I would recommend the boat over the bus.

    Have a magical vacation!
