Hi, Doug. I'm back again with a ? Visiting 6/3-6/10/13, have already booked all meals... DS 8 wants to stay at CBR. Should we book a preferred room to be closer to main hub of hotel & what is the est. travel time on the bus from CBR to all 4 parks? Th

    Angela,

    Thanks for the return question!

Rarely do I recommend to friends to purchase the room upgrades at Disney resorts. While I love the better views, I think that I can spend the $25 or more nightly charge better elsewhere, and the 'regular' rooms are still packed with plenty of magic!

However, I do think that the up-charge to be closer to the resort hub is well worth it at the Caribbean Beach Resort. The resort is VERY large, and VERY spread out, and being close to the pool and other amenities will be well worth the cost.

As for travel times, it is about a 15 minute bus ride to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or Hollywood Studios. More like 25 minutes to the Animal Kingdom. Epcot and Hollywood Studios might be a bit shorter, but a 1/4 hour is a good estimate.

Remember, however, that the bus first makes its way around the resort before it heads off to a park, with as many as 8 stops. That can take another 15 minutes or more. So dependent upon where you end up getting your room, and where on the route around the resort it is located, you should count extra time either on the way out, or in to the park.

    Have a magical vacation!
