Hi Doug, hope u r a WCC expert! 8pm ADR don't want to miss ANY of the antics for VERY outgoing DD 12th bday. Is it too late since dinner rush may be over. Should I try to get earlier, can get 4:55pm. Also any tips for MAX fun other than asking for ketchup?

    Kate,

    LOVE Whispering Canyon Cafe!

First off, it is NEVER too late at WCC! Dinner there typically  is open until 10 pm, so I would not worry about it too much, regarding time. If 8 is closer to a normal dining time, stick to that.

So what else can you do to max out the fun?

    • Interact with your wait staff. They are the 'gatekeepers' to the fun. If you aren't talking to them, you are going to miss out on the fun.
    • Encourage your kids to get involved with any age-appropriate group activities they are having.
    • DEMAND a main dining room table. The adjacent rooms lose out.
    • Have your kids ask for a crayon of a certain color.
    • If you have any shirts related to a non-Disney theme park, WEAR THEM!
    • Definitely tell them about your daughter's birthday, right away!
The key here is don't think of it as "Push this button and X happens". Servers gauge how open a table is to the fun, and act accordingly. They don't want to be too obnoxious to a table that might take offense. Just make sure you are having a fun time and interact with your servers and other tables, and the fun should ensue.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
