    Hi Doug, You are so helpful. At FW 10/1-10/9. I noticed the calendars don't always get posted the first day or two. Can make ADR on 7/3 but if no hours would you wait a day or two so I know which park which days? Fantasmic,CP,HDeeDo,Jap,Moracco,1900 etc.

    Beverly,

    Since you are going in October, when crowds are moderate, I would recommend that you plan your days and make your Advanced Dining Reservations at your earliest possible date without regard for when the Extra Magic Hours are being held. You could even guesstimate as to when they might hit in October, based on the trends in September, which seem to be;

    • Sunday: Magic Kingdom evenings
    • Monday: Animal Kingdom mornings, Hollywood Studios evenings
    • Tuesday: Epcot mornings
    • Wednesday: Animal Kingdom evenings
    • Thursday: Magic Kingdom mornings
    • Friday: Epcot evenings
    • Saturday: Hollywood Studios mornings

    These are just an observations, NOT some secret from the Disney vault. But a good rule of thumb!

    Anyway, plan out your days and make the reservations as soon as you can. Don't wait for the calendars to post. After they do, re-assess if you are comfortable with your schedule and reservations, and make changes at that time.

    Final word. Extra Magic Hours are great, but they are not everything. I never go on a trip to Walt Disney World where I get to use ALL of them, and don't even bother trying. Don't get too hung up on them.

    Let me know if I can help further!

    Have a magical vacation!
