    Doug, can you help me with an itinerary? We are staying at the cabins @ FW 12/15/13-12/20/13 and celebrating my son's 2nd bday. We would also like any date night advice so we can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours. Are there fireworks we can see from FW?

    Rachel,

    Glad to oblige!

    Here is where I would go, on each day;

    December 15 - Hollywood Studios (evening Extra Magic Hours)
    December 16 - Magic Kingdom (evening Extra Magic Hours)
    December 17 - Epcot (morning Extra Magic Hours)
    December 18 - Animal Kingdom (morning Extra Magic Hours)
    December 19 - Magic Kingdom (evening Extra Magic Hours)
    December 20 - Magic Kingdom

    For a date night I would say that the 19th would work out well, especially if you plan a fun dinner out at one of the Magic Kingdom area resorts. Another option would be to do it on the 18th. The value there is that you are probably done at the park by mid-afternoon, and you can do something at Downtown Disney or the BoardWalk.

    Yes, you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach at Fort Wilderness. They are fairly far off, but the view is still good, and frankly kind of classic, in my opinion.

    Write me back if you want more advice. I would love to give you some restaurant ideas for your date night. Just let me know what night you want to do it, and what kind of meal (or other experience) you are looking for!

    Have a magical vacation!
