Hi Doug, We have 2 dys, January 27 & 28th, at Hollywood Studios. We'd like to stay at the resort closest to the park. We plan to do Galaxy's Edge all day on the 27th. Which hotel is closest to the park?

    Dana,

    Thanks for writing me back!

The closest hotel to Disney's Hollywood Studios is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. It has its own Disney Skyliner station that will whisk you to the park entrance in just 6 minutes.

Now there are other nearby resort hotels, all on the Disney Skyliner route, and I will mention them here, just in case. For all of them you would ride the Skyliner to the Caribbean Beach station, before transferring to that Skyliner route to the park. For a Deluxe Villa experience, there is Disney’s Riviera Resort, and it would add another 5 minutes of Skyliner travel. The closest Deluxe option is Disney’s Beach Club Resort, though Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn are right there too. The Skyliner travel time from there would add about 14 minutes. For Value resort options, both Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort are a quick 6-minute ride to the Caribbean Beach station.

Finally, for the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and BoardWalk Inn you can also boat to the front of Hollywood Studios. Also on that sailing route are the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel and the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. However, as much as I love a relaxing boat ride to the parks, the Skyliner is likely a faster route.

    BONUS TIP
I did not mention it earlier, but of course the hotel that is truly the closest to Hollywood Studios is the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. This two-night resort option is on the grounds of the park, with an immersive dining and entertainment experience that make it any Star Wars fan’s dream! But I list it separately, since it is not what you would describe as a traditional hotel.

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
