Christine,
I have eaten there, and I thought that the food was just fine. I thought that the seafood was good, though I will confess that I prefer the Flying Fish Cafe at the nearby Boardwalk. The price tag is high at both restaurants, but I feel like you get a better bang for your buck, food-wise at the Flying Fish.
My concerns with
Coral Reef are that I think the setting, while providing a wonderfully captivating view into the tanks of the Living Seas Pavilion, was a bit cold. Service, food quality, and food quantity were just fine.
If your reason for eating here was strictly to get the best seafood possible, I would recommend switching to the
Flying Fish. Otherwise I think you will find that the setting is pretty amazing, and one that your teen will find a nice change from some of the character-rich experiences that might start to get repetitive for her.
Don't waste time fighting for a bottom row seat to get closer to the tanks. I prefer sitting in the middle row where I get a better look at all levels of the tank
Glad to offer other dining recommendations if you let me know your interests!
Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
