Hi Doug, Back again. Thank you so much for all your help with our summer trip. We had a great time and it went smoothly. Coming down for work & adding a 3 days @ GF 11-01 to 11-04. Good choice? Any tips? Just me & twins (4) while DH works. Thanks!

    Linda,

I think that the Grand Floridian is a great choice with you having to go solo with the twins. The transportation convenience will make it easier for you to negotiate the two of them by yourself.

Since it is hard to rely on the weather being good enough for swimming at that time (sometimes it is good, but if can sometimes be a bit chilly for it), I would look for something else to do. Our girls did the morning Pirate Cruise and loved it.

You could also enjoy the ease of getting to the Magic Kingdom and make a special day of it. I think it would be fun to have the three of you focus on meeting characters. Seek out some of the less famous ones, just to see whom you might find. We did this and met Rafiki and others that we never expected to see there.

I would also take advantage of being on the monorail, and experience those three resorts, as well as the boat-accessible Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge. Go to the former and maybe go horseback riding. Or you could go to Chip and Dale's Campfire. Also plan most of your meals in these resorts. There are several great ones, and you get to take advantage of the transportation convenience.

    Have a magical vacation!
