    Hi Doug, attending A.K. on Sept 22, wish to have lunch @ F.T. BBQ, have read it will be closed until the 20th or 25th. If F.T. is closed could you please recommend an alternative Q.S. restaurant? TYVM for all your wonderful help during our planning.

    There is really only one place I would recommend after the Flame Tree BBQ for a Quick Service lunch at the Animal Kingdom and that is the Yak and Yeti counter service restaurant.

    It is located in front of the table service restaurant of the same name, and has some good Asian food selections. The seating area, while not as scenic as that of the Flame Tree BBQ, is wonderfully themed like you are in some remote bus station/depot, surrounded by moving crates of all sizes. The food if often served in whimsical Chinese take-out boxes, and I find that the entrée-to-rice ratio has improved over the last few years to give you more real food for your money.

    I think that the other selections in the park are average at best, and that this is the place to go!
