Doug - you are always so helpful! We arrive 7/25 in afternoon. Plan on playing in the pool at BC then ressies @ CM @ 6:40. Would like to see fireworks or parade that first night. What would you suggest (keep in mind we have early plans next morning)? TY

    Desiree,

Glad to assist! The Wishes fireworks from the Magic Kingdom that night are at 10pm, whereas IllumiNations at Epcot are at 9pm. While you certainly don't get the full effect of the Wishes show unless you are in the park (lights on buildings, pyrotechnics on the lake, etc.), I think that might be the better choice.

What I would do is go back to the Beach Club after dinner, and then stroll over to the BoardWalk. Enjoy the nightlife there, maybe grab an ice cream cone, and watch the fireworks part of IllumiNations as it bursts over the tree line. That gets you to bed earlier, but you still get that first night "WOW" factor. And when you get to watch the "whole" IllumiNations show later in the week, you will not have spoiled the fun of it.

    Have a magical vacation!
