Hello there, and welcome back to planDisney, Linda! Just as every kyber crystal chooses its Jedi, every lightsaber design reflects the heart of its builder, and I’m thrilled to help you navigate your path through the Force.
If you're dreaming of wielding a double-bladed lightsaber like the legendary Darth Maul or the Temple Guards of the Jedi Order, there are a couple of key things to keep in mind. First, building a double-bladed saber at
Savi’s Workshop requires two separate lightsaber build reservations, as only one saber can be constructed per session. Once you’ve forged both hilts, you’ll need a lightsaber coupler to connect them. These couplers are sometimes available at Savi’s Workshop or at
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, that shadowy treasure trove of galactic history nestled within
Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.
Because couplers tend to be in limited supply (they’re practically hidden like a Sith holocron), I recommend checking with the Gatherers at Savi’s Workshop before scheduling both builds. The last thing you'd want is to complete two epic hilts only to find yourself without the tool to unite them!
Now, if you’re looking to purchase a pre-built double-bladed saber, I’d recommend heading straight to Dok-Ondar’s Den. This legendary Ithorian collector is known across the galaxy for his rotating inventory of rare and powerful artifacts, many of which belonged to Jedi Masters, Sith Lords, and mysterious warriors from forgotten systems. You may even find the famed Darth Maul or Asajj Ventress legacy hilts, both of which can be connected with the right components.
And here’s a little Q-Tip to enhance your scavenger hunt: while exploring Dok’s shop, take a glance up at the upper alcoves. Word on the street (and in the cantina) is that there’s a gleaming tribute to none other than the galaxy’s most polarizing Gungan. It’s an unexpected Easter egg that adds a bit of humor to your holocron hunt.
I hope this helps guide you toward the lightsaber that best channels your inner Jedi, or Sith. If you have any more questions, Linda, feel free to send another holo-message to planDisney. We’re always happy to assist travelers on their galactic journeys.
May the Force be with you… always.
