Hi, Christine! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The all-new
Disney Skyliner is set to make its premiere September 29, and I’m so excited about this latest addition to the
Walt Disney World Resort transportation system. According to a video posted in April on the
Disney Parks YouTube channel, we do know that each cabin will accommodate up to 10 Guests. The cabins have two slatted wooden benches that face each other, and in the video you can see that the interior looks relatively spacious. You and your family should be able to fit comfortably inside one of the cabins (especially with your strollers folded). Unlike the Monorail, Ferry and Disney Bus systems, all Guests must remain seated when the Skyliner cabins are in motion. Since we don’t have many details beyond what Disney has shared in that video and on the
Disney Parks Blog, I’m not sure if folding the strollers will be a requirement (like it is on the Walt Disney World Resort buses and some watercraft) or if you’ll be able to leave them assembled (like you can on the Monorail).
My recommendation would be to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for additional information about the Skyliner system as well as the other exciting new opportunities making their way to
Walt Disney World Resort before your arrival later this Fall. I’m sure “the most Magical flight on Earth” will be one of several exciting new options your family will be able to enjoy.
Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you in the meantime.
We hope to see you real soon,
Amy
