Welcome to planDisney, Casey! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. I'm an
Annual Passholder too, so I'm happy to clarify the new
Theme Park reservation policy for you and let you know exactly what you'll be able to do on your visit to Walt Disney World tomorrow.
Casey, I'm pleased to tell you that you can still park hop to
Magic Kingdom tomorrow with your Annual Pass, as long as you start your day at
Hollywood Studios and tap in there first with your theme park reservation. The recent policy change only affects a very specific kind of park entry, and it doesn't stop you from hopping over to Magic Kingdom later in the day!
Here's the scoop: for quite a while now, Annual Passholders have been able to visit any theme park without a reservation after 2:00 PM, except for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays. As of July 20th, for a limited time, Magic Kingdom is no longer included as one of the parks you can enter after 2:00 PM with no reservation; however, this policy only applies if Magic Kingdom is the
first park you're trying to enter that day without a reservation. As long as you have a park reservation for
any other park and you enter that park first, you can hop to Magic Kingdom or anywhere else at your leisure.
Since you already have a park reservation for Hollywood Studios, you'll just need to tap in there first, and then you're free to hop to any other park at any time of day, including Magic Kingdom. Park hopping becomes available to you as soon as you've scanned into your first park!
So go ahead and enjoy all the thrills at Hollywood Studios, then head over to Magic Kingdom for a spin on the
PeopleMover, a
Dole Whip, and a showing of
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. Sounds pretty magical to me!
