Hi Cheri!
It’s great to have you back here at planDisney! As a fellow
Annual Passholder, I’m happy to help out!
When using your Annual Pass, you will only need a
park reservation for the very first park you’ll be visiting for the day. So, in your case, you can make your park reservation for Animal Kingdom and visit that park in the morning. Then, you can hop to Magic Kingdom later in the day to enjoy
Extended Evening Hours.
The big thing to note is that you need to scan into the park where you made the park reservation before going to another park. If you end up making the park reservation for Animal Kingdom and not visiting that park before going to Magic Kingdom, you may not be able to scan into Magic Kingdom.
As your trip gets closer, make sure to check out the
Hours & Events Calendar to see which parks are offering Extended Evening Hours for deluxe resort guests. Throughout the year, the parks that offer Extended Evening Hours may change.
Last year, I noticed that once
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party began, Magic Kingdom did not have Extended Evening Hours. Instead, Hollywood Studios had Extended Evening Hours (which was a blast!). It may very well be different this year! But it’s something to keep an eye on.
I hope that helps! As you continue to plan your trip, let us know if you have any other questions!
