What are must do’s for a jungle cruise day at Disneyland on my trip in April

Welcome back to planDisney, Michael! A Jungle Cruise themed day is such a fun and adventurous way to experience Disneyland, and it’s great that you’re building your plans around one of the most iconic attractions in the park. With a little planning, you can turn your day into a full expedition worthy of any seasoned skipper.

Of course, your first must-do is setting sail on the Jungle Cruise itself. If you can, I recommend hopping in line earlier in the day when wait times are typically shorter. Each skipper brings their own unique humor to the journey, so even repeat voyages can feel like a brand-new adventure.

Right next door, Indiana Jones Adventure makes for the perfect next stop and pairs beautifully with your Jungle Cruise theme. There’s a bit of shared history here, as early concepts for Indiana Jones Adventure once included an expansion of the Jungle Cruise experience. Also, as you explore the queue, keep an eye out for all the detailed storytelling elements (including a Jungle Cruise reference in the pre-show video) that makes this attraction feel like a true archaeological expedition.

For a mid-day break, head over to the Tropical Hideaway. This is a must-visit on any Jungle Cruise day. Not only can you enjoy a refreshing Dole Whip, but you’ll also find fun nods to the attraction throughout the space. Take a look at the oars displayed along the back wall for some clever, skipper-style references that longtime fans especially love.

If you’re looking to continue the adventure at a slower pace, the Mark Twain Riverboat offers a relaxing journey along the Rivers of America. It’s a great way to recharge while still soaking in that classic frontier atmosphere (and you might even spot a particularly comic scene along the shoreline).

As a tip, consider planning your Jungle Cruise ride for both daytime and evening if your schedule allows. Experiencing the attraction after sunset offers a slightly different ambiance, with lighting and atmosphere adding a new layer to the adventure.

Michael, I hope this helps you feel ready to chart your course for a day full of humor, exploration, and classic Disneyland charm. If you have any more questions as your trip approaches, we’d love to welcome you back to planDisney.

Enjoy a day filled with wild adventures and unforgettable skipper jokes!
