Hi Dorthy - Question from Kemptville ON ... 1st trip scheduled for fall of 2011 - we will drive down, how many days should we stay 7,8,9+? When is best time (crowds/price/weather) to stay? 5 total me,DH, Sons - 15,6,4 is Music Resort our best option?

    Hi Suna!

How exciting to be planning your first Disney vacation!  We have found that the best time of year to visit the parks is October.  The crowds are very manageable and the weather averages in the mid 20's so the weather is perfect for walking through the parks.  I would recommend spending 2 days at each park.  Your children's ages are quite widespread and there is a lot to do that would appeal to each of their ages.

In the past Disney has offered free dining plan packages and currently they are offering Disney gift cards for guests staying at a Disney resort.  Offers for 2011 are not out yet so keep checking the Disney website for special offers that will run during the time you will be visiting.

Visit  the dining page of the website.  Dining reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance so if you have some restaurants you know you want to eat at, book those restaurants as early as you can as they fill up quickly. For character dining I would recommend Chef Mickey's.

I have not stayed at the All Star Music however some of my fellow panelists recommend the
All Star Sports Resort.  The hotel is separated into themes ranging from football to baseball to basketball.
