I don’t have tickets to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but I was able to make a dining reservation at a restaurant in Magic Kingdom at 6:20 PM. Will my reservation be honored, and can we dine at that time without the event tickets?

    Hi Nichole,

I just checked theme park hours for the week of your arrival and Magic Kingdom closes at 6:00 PM each night that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be taking place. Between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, both guests with regular theme park tickets and event tickets will be able to enjoy all of the activities at Magic Kingdom. Starting at 6:00 PM, cast members will be set up throughout the Magic Kingdom helping usher day guests out so that the party can start.

Even though the system lets you make the reservation, I would err on the side of caution and move the start time of the reservation to before 6:00 PM. As long as your reservation is before the theme park closes to day guests, you will be able to check in and dine even if you finish up a little bit after 6:00 PM. As soon as you finish, there will be checkpoints where you will be required to have an event ticket or you will need to head towards the exit.

If you want to spend as much time as possible riding attractions before Magic Kingdom closes, then I would make a dinner reservation at one of the fabulous resorts that the monorail goes directly to. If you want a to-die-for view of Magic Kingdom and a chance to see the fireworks, make a dinner reservation at the California Grill located in Disney's Contemporary Resort. This is a delicious three-course dining experience where you can go out on the balcony and watch the fireworks show happening at Magic Kingdom. If you want a more laid-back experience, head over to 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for a family-style Polynesian-themed dinner that finishes with an iconic bread pudding!

    Happy Planning,
    Jenna
