If you don't stay on property, what time in the morning should you get to the gate to get into the Magic Kingdom if the day you are going has morning extra magic hours which you can not take advantage of?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Denise!

Magic Kingdom Park’s gates generally open an hour prior to the official opening time each day. This allows Guests to enjoy some of the shops and restaurants along Main Street, U.S.A. prior to the official “Let the Magic Begin” welcome show that takes place on the Cinderella Castle stage five minutes prior to Park opening.

With morning Extra Magic Hours, you can still take advantage of this limited area of the Theme Park prior to the time the attractions open for Guests who are not staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel. So, for example, if there are morning Extra Magic Hours from 7-8 a.m. with an official Theme Park opening time of 8 a.m., you can still enter the Park as early as 7 (although you will be limited to the open areas along Main Street, U.S.A.). Personally, I think this is a great strategy for off-site Guests because you’ll still be able to enjoy the Welcome Show and will still be able to take advantage of the lower wait times that those early mornings typically afford.

As you continue to plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation itinerary, please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you, Denise. We hope to see you real soon!
