We don't have a reservation for animal kingdom, but on the day we visit Epcot, we are planning to get dining reservations at a restaurant in the animal kingdom. I want to know if we will be able to go into the park?

Hello Priyadarshini! I know just what you need to start your day at EPCOT and end your day with your dining reservation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

If you want to visit two parks in one day, you will need to purchase a Park Hopper ticket! This special ticket will allow you to visit more than one park in one day!

You will only need to make your Disney Park Pass reservation for the park you will be visiting first. In your case, that is EPCOT. You don’t have to make a park reservation for the park that you will “hop” to later in the day. If you have your reservation for EPCOT and visit that park first, you can enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom for your dining reservation. Park Hopping begins at 2:00 PM so you’re free to head over to your second park after that time!

So, let’s do a quick checklist:

    •Purchase your Park Hopper ticket
•Make your Disney Park Pass Reservation for your first park only (EPCOT)
•Double check that your dining reservation in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is after 2:00 PM
    •Visit EPCOT first that day
•Hop to your second park (Disney’s Animal Kingdom) any time beginning at 2:00 PM and enjoy your dining reservation

You’re going to have a great Disney Day, Priyadarshini! Enjoy Park Hopping! Also, here is a PRO TIP! Since you’re visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom later in the day, be sure to visit the Kilimanjaro Safaris ride! I find that the animals on the safari become very active and entertaining during the evening!

    Happy planning!
