if i don’t have my photo id can i use my passport

Hey, howdy, hey, Alexa! And welcome to planDisney from a fellow Floridian. I'll be happy to help you today because keeping Walt Disney World Resort magical is my goal! Let's look at the types of ID you might need during your trip.

As a resident of the Sunshine State, I love taking advantage of discounts and deals. If you snagged a Florida resident theme park ticket - YAY! You can show a valid passport and a second document as proof of Florida residency to activate your admission. Remember, if you verified residency online, you can head straight to the entrance to scan in!

You must also show proof of residency if you booked a Disney Resort hotel using a Florida discount. Otherwise, the price will convert to the standard price. Your passport, along with another form of proof, should be accepted. You might be asked for a photo ID for any booking unrelated to residency, and your passport should work.

Passports are typically accepted as valid photo IDs if you plan to pick up standard tickets at Will Call or purchase admission at the gate. US residents who are over 21 can also show their passports to buy alcohol

I've recently started carrying a crossbody or belt bag when visiting the theme parks. These front-facing bags keep my ID and credit cards close, and some attractions allow you to keep them on while you ride. My favorite is a runDisney bag I bought at the expo last year!

Alexa, I hope your visit is going fabulously! Keep that passport safe, and please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
