Gawrsh, Amanda, I am thrilled that you found planDisney to start collecting information for planning your Walt Disney World vacation.
I know that the initial planning can be overwhelming. From trying to choose a resort, to how many park days you need, to where to eat – there are a LOT of factors to consider.
Looking up topics on the planDisney website is a great place to start. I would also recommend you find yourself an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to assist you. These travel agents are trained in all things Disney and can give you options for resorts within your budget, help with dining reservations, and can answer all your WDW questions. These agents will not add cost to your trip, you will pay the same amount if you book on your own on the Walt Disney World website.
I also have some other advice for you. Since there are four theme parks – Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, & Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, you will want to spend time in each of them. This is usually best accomplished with a 4-day theme park ticket. This gives you one day per park. If you can plan for 5 days, I would recommend taking two days to experience
Magic Kingdom.
It looks like you are planning a late January/early February vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth. You will not need the Waterpark option on your ticket, as the weather is really not hot enough for a whole day there. You can easily spend an afternoon or two splashing in your resort pool to cool off. My favorite resort pool is
Stormalong Bay, which is shared by Disney’s Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts. The location of these resorts is also really great; you can walk to EPCOT and boat, walk, or ride the
Disney Skyliner to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
I hope this helps with your vacation planning and that you have a fabulous visit to Walt Disney World this winter.
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
