Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sandra! I’m so glad you’re considering the purchase of a
Walt Disney World Annual Pass for your family! Thanks for sending us your question.
Florida Residents have some great options for annual passes. The best part is, you can make monthly payments toward your passes, so there’s no need to pay for them in full up front!
My family really benefited from the Disney Silver Pass. While there are black-out dates associated with the pass, they’re usually over the summer and over the Holidays. We always felt like we got the most from this pass because it provided us with a magical weekend escape when we needed it.
Since your children are little and may not be in school yet, the Disney Weekday Select Pass may be a good option. While you won’t be able to visit on weekends, you can visit during the weekdays. You would also save some money when compared to the Disney Silver Pass.
Sandra, the Disney Gold Pass offers less black out dates and includes
Disney PhotoPass downloads. That means you won’t have to worry about purchasing Memory Maker for every visit. Those magical pictures taken on attractions and with characters during character experiences will go right to your My Disney Experience account.
If you’d like to purchase a pass that would not include blackout dates, the Disney Platinum Pass and the Disney Platinum Plus passes are your best bet. The plus would also give you access to Disney’s water parks, the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course.
You can always use the
compare option, which will give you pricing and perks of each pass when making your decision.
It all depends on the kind of visits you’d like to have! I hope I’ve been helpful. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions!
