I've never done a Disney race and am thinking about signing up for the half-marathon (which would be my first half!). My question is, if my family wants to come and watch/cheer, how would they do that? Do they come on the bus with me or go by themselves?

Hi Jenny! I'm so excited for you that you're thinking about running your first half AND that you're thinking of running it at Disney World! It's the perfect spot for your first race! I've done several half marathons and the Disney ones are truly the best organized of them all! They also have the best spirit and entertainment, with runners all excited, many in costume, characters and music along the way! And if that's not enough, you get to run through the theme parks, which I absolutely love. So fun!

Your family should definitely not join you on the bus. Buses are for the runners, and depart well before the race starting time. You'll be able to view the race map ahead of time at the runDisney website (http://espnwwos.disney.go.com/sports/rundisney/), so they can decide the best spot to cheer you on. Be sure they know exactly what you're wearing and what time you anticipate running by, as there are so many runners it's easy to miss someone.
