What is a Dolewhip that I hear about? I don't like pineapple, would I like a Dolewhip?

    Hi Jonas,

Dole Whip is the brand name of a non-dairy, ice-cream-like frozen treat sold at several locations at Walt Disney World, notably at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom and at Captain Cook's in the Polynesian. You can get Dole Whip served in a cup, on a cone, or in a glass with pineapple juice. That last item is called a Dole Whip Float. Many guests find Dole Whip incredibly refreshing, particularly on a hot Florida day. Their love of Dole Whip is quite intense and it has quite a cult following. (And I definitely count myself as part of the cult.)

"Real" Dole Whip is pineapple flavored. It's not an overwhelmingly strong pineapple flavor, but if you have a real aversion to pineapple, then this item may not be for you.

You can also get Dole Whip in vanilla or orange flavors, or sometimes a swirl of two of the flavors. Perhaps you should start with the orange version and see if you like that.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
