We are doing the Wild Africa Safari Trek. I know we get a disc of pictures but will the photographer get up close pictures of the animals and my kids? Or do I need to bring my own camera along with my video camera????

    Hi Tina,

I've been on the Wild Africa Trek twice and loved it!

I had different experiences with the photographers on each of my Treks. One took substantially more photos than the other. That being said, you are welcome to speak with the photographer and ask for specific shots. When I asked, the photographer did take several close up individual shots of my children and my family.

However, i would also plan to bring your own photography equipment. There's just no substitute for having the ability to spontaneously capture a moment with your child. The Disney photographer will be busy with many other guests in your group, but you can focus just on what's happening with your family.

You should be aware that any equipment you bring on the Trek will have to be secured to your safety vest. There are many caribiners and clips on the vest, but your camera needs some sort of strap to hook on to.

Good luck with your planning. I'm happy to answer any additional questions you might have.
