Emily,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
You are going to love both of your hotels! I love
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter because it is a smaller resort, with a cozier feeling. As for
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, the rooms feel more elegant than most, and of course,
Stormalong Bay Pool should become a quick favorite for your 4-year-old!
The standard rooms in both hotels feature bathtubs. You should not have to request a room with a tub, and the only way I see you getting a room that does not have one is if you would end up in a special accommodation room, which is extremely unlikely. So, while there is no way to automatically request a room with a tub, I would not worry. And if, for some odd reason, you end up with a room that does not have a tub, just tell the front desk staff and I am sure they can move you to a room that does.
FRENCH QUARTER BONUS TIPFor a morning treat, you might want to try the beignets at the
Scat Cat's Club - Café. Open from 7 am to 11 am, this venue normally serves as a bar at night, but during the morning hours sells coffee and powdered pockets of sweet goodness that are inspired by New Orleans.
YACHT CLUB BONUS TIPWhile the Stormalong Bay pool is famous for so many of its features, an often overlooked one is the youngster swimming area that is in the shipwreck by the resort beach. This should come in handy with your 4-year-old! When you leave the main pool area and cross over the walking path to the shipwreck that serves as the launching point for the long water slide, there is a perfect pool for small children at the base of the ship.
