We are doing a split stay (VGF and AKL-Kidani) in Aug/Sept. and I was wondering if bell services will help us move our luggage (including our groceries) into the second resort. How should we go about setting that up? Thanks!

    Hiya, Emily!

Easy peasy - bell services will absolutely help you move between the two resorts. Doesn't that take half the stress off before you ever even get to Walt Disney World?

The first thing I want to recommend is that you keep the bags that your groceries came in. On the day that you want to move from the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, pack your luggage, and put as much of your groceries as you can into the bags. You'll just call bell services at the front desk of the resort and ask them to transfer the bags to Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. I always carry a Sharpie marker with me, and I mark on the groceries my name and what has to be stored in the refrigerator. When bell services comes up, I make sure to clearly indicate to them which bags need refrigeration until they can be delivered to the next resort.

When you get to the second resort, you can just call bell services and let them know your room number, and they can deliver the stored luggage to you. Your cold things will have been stored in cold storage, so no worries there, but frozen things will likely not be frozen by the time you get them. I'd use them before I moved if I could.

They really make split stays a breeze at the Disney Vacation Club villas. I used to hesitate to book them, but now that they make it so easy, it's a great way to enjoy two totally different vacation experiences in one vacation!

    Have fun, Emily!
