We are doing a split stay. I know our luggage will be transferred by Disney, but can we go to a park and check into the second resort later in the day?

You have brought us another great question, Jaynee! I see you were just chatting with Missy about your split stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. You have such a great trip planned! I also have a split stay coming up and we are actually swapping resorts twice!

When you check out of your first resort, you are welcome to check all of your luggage with Bell Services. They will handle the transfer of them to your new resort. In my experience, the luggage usually arrives at the new resort mid-afternoon, so be sure to take anything with you that you may need in the meantime as you carry on about your day.

To make arrival and departure days at both of your resorts carefree, be sure to complete Online Check-In prior to your stay. If you do complete this, then there is no rush to check into your next room. You could head to Disney Springs for a little shopping and a great lunch. You could stay and swim at Pop Century for a while before heading over to Port Orleans Riverside. You could also do as I have planned and head to your favorite theme park. Will you spend the day Soarin' Around the World? Will you climb on the back of a mountain banshee and explore the Valley of Mo'ara? Personally, I will spend my resort swap days as a Foolish Mortal, singing "it's a small world" while diving into a Dole Whip Float on my flying Magic Carpet.

Jaynee, you are free to make all the Magic Your Way, so start planning and let us know if you have any other questions. See ya real soon!
