We are doing a split stay, first at AOA then at Animal Kingdom. Since Animal Kingdom is one of the approved resorts, are we able to use premier lightening lane for the whole week if AK is end of our trip?

Hiya, Kristen, and welcome to planDisney! You'll be arriving soon for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and it sounds like you're planning to treat yourself to the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass. Since this is a brand-new product, let's do some research together!

I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said Premier Passes must be purchased for a day (or days) you'll be a Disney Deluxe Resort guest. Starting October 30, when the product rolls out, you'll be eligible to buy it seven days before you check in at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.

You probably won't be able to buy this pass for park days while you're at Disney's Art of Animation Resort since it's not a deluxe resort, but you could opt for Lightning Lane Multi and Single Passes for that time period; you should be able to purchase those now. Comparing the products might be an interesting experiment. I'd love to hear how it goes, so feel free to report back!

I recommend checking the website for updates and clarifications as the new product debuts. Policies could evolve as Disney listens to guests' experiences and suggestions. I'm wishing on a star you secure a Premier Pass and have the best Disney day ever!

Kristen, thanks again for allowing planDisney to help with your vacation questions. Feel free to reach out anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
