Welcome back, Kate! I'm glad you've asked about
attire for your cruise. Your seven-night sailing will include five cruise casual nights (one of which is
Pirate Night), one Formal night, and one Semi-Formal night. You'll want to wear your dressy outfits on Formal night, which is also when your favorite Disney friends will be out in their formal attire. It sure makes for some great pictures when you've got your kiddos dressed to the nines next to Mickey Mouse in his tuxedo! You'll see guests in everything from tuxedos to more simple attire like dress pants and a sport coat or just a shirt and tie, for the men, and all sorts of dresses for the women.
Semi-Formal night is dressier than usual, but not quite as dressy as Formal night. You'll see most men wearing a button down dress shirt, some with a tie, some without, and dress pants. Others will have suits or sports coats too. Women tend to wear nice dresses or skirts that night, and the kiddos can wear a dress or dress pants and a dress shirt or even just a polo shirt if they think one dress up night is enough!
Disney Cruise Line offers great
photography packages on the ship, or to save a few dollars, as a pre-purchase before you set sail. Additionally, you'll be able to choose just a print or two, if you don't want a whole cd package of photos. Swing by Shutters each night to check out the photo kiosks where you can view all the photos of your family from the cruise. Unlike PhotoPass at Walt Disney World, though, you'll need to purchase any must-have pictures before you leave the ship, because they are not available online after your sailing.
Have so much fun on this adventure at sea, Kate!
