We are doing a family trip with my father in law. He has Parkinson's and is a very stoic man who will not use a scooter. Can we still use the skyliner station that does no move for him to board?

A very warm welcome back to planDisney, Michelle!

We’re thrilled to see that you’ll be visiting Disney World again later this year! I hope you enjoyed your last trip to Disneyland, and that your vacation was full of wonderful memories… Get ready for a whole bunch of new memories to be made so soon!

I’m happy to let you know that your father-in-law, and the rest of your party, will be more than welcome to use the accessibility queue for the Skyliner. This entrance is completely stationary and comes to a complete stop for ease of boarding and disembarking. All you need to do, Michelle, is tell a Cast Member at the entrance of each Skyliner system, that you need the accessible queue. These friendly Cast Members will point you in the direction of the stationary gondola line. This is where the ECV’s, wheelchairs, and parties with extra needs will be waiting for their gondolas!

ECV rentals are always available if your father-in-law decides he needs some extra assistance getting around the parks. And, if your party has any medical needs during your visits to the theme parks, familiarize yourself with the locations of the First Aid centers. There are nurses available to offer help with anything you or your family may need during your visits.

When you have more questions, Michelle, please give a little whistle to planDisney again!

Have a great big beautiful tomorrow,
    Allyn

Hello! I am Allyn, your personal planDisney companion! I’ve enjoyed most of my life in the heart of Wyoming but am currently living my fairy tale as a wife, mom, yoga instructor, and fine jewelry designer in central Florida! When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
