Doing DxDp in Dec. My son will be 11. Lunch ressie at Akershus. Can my son order off kids menu if he is not feeling "brave" about the Norwegian entrees? I know it would still be an adult entitlement as far as the dining plan if its even possible.

Hi Debra! I have a picky 11-year-old son, so I understand! My son loves that Disney World considers him an "adult," but he sure doesn't want to eat the food on the adult menus. Thankfully, Disney is very accommodating of picky eaters, and he's never had any problem ordering from the children's menus if nothing on the adult menu appeals to him. Some restaurants have even given him an adult portion of the kiddie food. You're right that at a fixed-price meal like Akershus you'll still have to pay the adult price or dining credit for him, but he can choose his meal from the children's menu if he wants.

Have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
