Ahoy, Emile! Thanks for sailing into planDisney to ask your upcoming Disney Cruise Line question.
It is so awesome that you will be setting on a voyage with Captain Mickey and his crew in March! Whether it is your first sailing or you are a seasoned DCL Castaway Club member, you will find things are changing at a rapid pace. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your best friend leading up to your cruise and once you are onboard.
The official word from DCL is that you should not schedule a flight home after a cruise before noon. This is typically because most cruises sail from Port Canaveral and that port is about an hour from the airport. The Port of Miami, however, is much closer to the airport, and having a 1:00pm flight home will give you plenty of time on your final morning to wake, eat breakfast, and shed a few tears as you disembark the Disney Magic to begin your journey back home.
The Magic was my family’s first ship, so there is a special place in my heart for her. We loved our serving team, and how they traveled to the dining rooms with us. It felt like they were part of our family by the time we left the ship. Be sure to head to the Walt Disney Theatre for the Broadway-style stage show
Tangled: The Musical, either before or after your dinner. Your Navigator app will alert you when it’s about 15 minutes to show time.
I know you are going to have an amazing time on the Disney Magic, and your countdown is approaching the 100 day mark (ok, about a month to go)!
Happy Cruising,
Tracy
