When doing the character dining in a buffet location, do the servers tell you when it is a good time to go up and get your food. Nervous about being in the food line when Mickey and pals are due to stop at our table. Thanks.

    Hi Jennifer!

We love doing character dining experiences when at the Disney parks!  Our favorite dining experience is with Winnie the Pooh and Pals at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom.  The breakfast buffet is fantastic and the setting, right in the middle of MK, can't be beat!

You can ask your server if they have an idea with respect to how long it will take a character to arrive at your table.  I've found that its always best to look and see where the characters are in relation to your table.  If they are across the dining area, you'll have plenty of time to go and grab a plate.  If they are nearing your area/table, its probably a good idea to remain seated so you don't miss them.  The characters come around one at a time, so you'll have plenty of chances to snap a pic with them.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
