There doesn't appear to be any events at WWOS while we are there. Can we just shoot hoops on their court for a bit? Or is it not worth going to?

    Hi Taryn!

The ESPN Wide World of Sports, located at Walt Disney World, is an amazing site for amateur sports across the nation. Every year, more than 100 entertainment and sports events are held here. This 25-acre facility features multiple competition venues, including 16 baseball/softball fields, plus the 9,500-seat Champion Stadium, 18 multi-purpose outdoor fields for soccer, football and lacrosse, two field houses for basketball, volleyball and other indoor sports, a third field house specifically designed with cheer and dance in mind. The fieldhouse has room for six full-size collegiate basketball courts (four on the main level and two upstairs on the auxiliary court).

The ESPN Wide World of Sports offers The Sports Experience, which is the interactive portion of Wide World of Sports, where visitors can play. While you can't play on their main courts, there are two basketball hoops on a small court that you can use to make some practice shots. There is also a mini soccer field with tiny goals to shoot at. You can also see how fast you can throw a baseball.

There are many Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that include basketball courts and equipment, including:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
    Disney’s Old Key West Resort
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
    Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
    Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel

Disney's Wide World of Sports is beautifully designed, so it's worth a visit to check out the facilities!
    Magically,
    Stacy
