HI DMP!!! We are so excited that we are setting out for our 2nd cruise on the Dream the first week of May! When we were there in Jan 2015 the water on Castaway Cay was really chilly. What can we expect the water temp to be the fist of May? Wet Suits?

    Ahoy Amy!
I'm sure after this weekend you are dreaming of relaxing on a white sandy beach with the warm ocean breeze on your face on your Disney Cruise! It makes it easier to get through these cold winter days when you have a Disney Cruise to look forward to in the near future!
Castaway Cay is my absolute favorite cruise destination to visit aboard Disney Cruise Line, so I can understand your excitement to go back in just a few months! I've visited Disney's Bahamian paradise in March, April and May and found the ocean refreshing with the water temperatures typically in the mid to upper 70s (in January, you can usually expect the lower 70s). I don't think you will need wet suits, but you can always throw them in if there is room in your luggage. If it is unseasonably cool, they will definitely help.
Thank you for stopping by with your question, Amy! We are always happy to help so please drop by again if you think of anything else!
Have a magical day and happy planning!
