Are Disneyworld phases out paper park maps? A few websites are stating this will be the case by end of 2024.

    Hi Vanessa,

    Welcome to planDisney!

There is no official word on paper maps being eliminated for the Walt Disney World® Resort. With that said, I can understand the concern if we no longer had access to paper maps! As much as we rely on the My Disney Experience Mobile App to navigate the parks and resorts, I also know that my family appreciates tools that allow us to get off of our mobile devices. And I know that paper maps can be helpful for international guests or others who may not have the same ability to use their phones for navigation.

On one of our earlier trips with our girls, I decided to let them practice their map reading skills. So, at each theme park, they had to pick up a paper map and use it to get us from one attraction to another. Might I say, it was hilarious. It remains one of those core memories - my husband and I patiently watched them while they figured out which way to turn the map.

I do hope you are planning a trip to Disney! With Tiana's Bayou Adventure officially opening on June 28th, we are all excited to experience this new attraction! As you make plans to visit, remember to consider the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. We love their proximity to the parks and the amenities. One of my favorite resort hotels is Disney's Riviera Resort. The resort is stunning and, one of the restaurants, Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera has the most adorable character experience at breakfast.

Vanessa, keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for Disney news. We hope to see you real soon!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
