Do disneyworld parks take cash and credit cards without having a magic band or key to the world cards? Thanks.

Welcome back to planDisney, Kerrie! Thanks so much for coming by with your question today.

This is a great question, and the answer is yes, absolutely! You can totally use cash and credit cards throughout the Walt Disney World parks and resort, whether or not you have a MagicBand or a Key to the World Card.

While MagicBands and room key cards are super convenient and fun to use, they're not required to make purchases. Every merchandise location, snack cart, restaurant, and Quick-Service spot in the parks will happily accept credit and debit cards, Disney Gift Cards, and, of course, cash. Most locations also take contactless payment methods stored in your phone's mobile wallet, so you've got plenty of options no matter how you prefer to pay.

If you're not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel or you're just visiting the parks for the day, there's no need to worry about setting up charging privileges or having a MagicBand at all. Just bring along your preferred method of payment and you're good to go!

That said, if you do ever decide to grab a MagicBand, you can link your park tickets, PhotoPass photos, and Lightning Lane return times all in one place, which is super handy but totally optional.

I hope this answers your question, Kerrie, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
